The themes of motherhood, friendship, community, and self-determination explored in this story have always resonated with, as well as with audiences around the world. For me, Waitress prompts important reflections on how we navigate the daily cycles of our lives, sometimes toxic,  and the courage it takes to challenge our own choices, inherited choices, and societal expectations. As a director, I find genuine thrill in working on a musical that boldly examines the complexities of humanity, featuring characters that embody our strengths, flaws, and everything in between. “Everything Changes” - Alex Rodriguez (Excerpt from Director’s Note)
